What the badge does (all visible in the code itself)
- Displays the visual certification mark on the surgeon's website.
- Links to a signed verification page (with an HMAC cryptographic signature) so anyone can confirm the certification is authentic and not forged.
- Adds structured data (schema.org) associating the surgeon with the technique and its academy. This is standard optimization, like any professional credential published on a website.
What it does NOT do (important)
- No cookies.
- Runs no JavaScript on the surgeon's website.
- Collects no visitor data from that site: no IP, no behavior, no patient information.
- No access to the surgeon's database, server or any system.
- Tracks no person.
What it records, exactly
When the badge image loads, the issuer records only three technical fields: the surgeon's identifier, the domain serving the page where the badge is installed, and the date and time of the load. The purpose is twofold and legitimate: to know the certification is still published (for directory management) and to detect unauthorized copies on third-party domains. There is no profiling, no cookies, no tracking of people.
Why does the snippet include an explanatory comment?
The code each surgeon receives begins with a comment describing, in plain language, what each part is and does. We did this on purpose: if a developer — or an artificial intelligence — reviews the code before installing it, we want them to have everything needed to confirm it is a legitimate, transparent certification badge. We hide nothing; on the contrary, we explain it inside the code itself.
How to verify and how to revoke
Each badge includes a verification link confirming the authenticity of the certification. To remove the badge, simply delete the code snippet from the website, at any time. AX Scientific Lab can also revoke a certification from its side if warranted; revocation is immediate and verifiable. See the official directory of certified surgeons.
