RibXcar

Certification badge terms

Terms of use for the badge of surgeon certified in rib remodeling (RibXcar), issued by AX Scientific Lab.

The badge attests to one thing only: that the surgeon completed the official training in the rib remodeling (RibXcar) technique at AX Scientific Lab, the academy of Dr Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani, who created the technique. It is a certificate of training in a surgical technique, issued by a private academy. It is not a specialty certification.

1 · What it attests

2 · What it does not attest

This section matters as much as the previous one and forms part of the badge.

3 · Who may use it

4 · Validity

Twelve months from the date of issue. The start and expiry dates are declared on the badge itself and are public on the verification page. Once the period lapses the badge is no longer current and must be renewed or removed from wherever it is displayed.

5 · Verification

Every badge carries a unique link to its verification page in the official directory. Anyone — a patient, a colleague, a journalist — can follow it and check the surgeon's name, the year of certification and whether the badge is still current.

A badge that does not link to a verification page on this site is not authentic, however closely it may resemble one.

6 · Grounds for revocation

Revocation takes effect by removing the surgeon from the directory. From that moment the verification page stops confirming the certification, so any copy of the badge still on display is thereby shown not to be current.

7 · Personal data and removal

Surgeons appear in the directory only with their express consent, obtained in writing before publication. Published fields are name, title, country, city, clinic, year of certification and, if provided, their website or Instagram. Email addresses are not published: they are used solely to deliver the badge.

Any surgeon may request removal from the directory at any time by writing to AX Scientific Lab. Removal is processed without conditions.

Can I use the badge to credential myself with a hospital or an insurer?

No. The badge attests to training in a specific technique, not to professional licensure. For a hospital or an insurer what counts is your specialty certification, issued by the medical board or council of your country.

Can I use the badge in advertising for my surgeries?

You may state that you are certified in the technique. What you may not do is display the badge alongside promises or guarantees of outcome: that is grounds for revocation, and in several countries it also breaches medical advertising rules.

What happens if it expires and I do not renew?

The verification page stops confirming it as current, and you must remove it from wherever it is displayed. The certification you obtained is not erased; what lapses is the validity of the badge.

Who issues the badge?

AX Scientific Lab, the official academy of the technique, founded by its creator Dr Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani. Course information at axscientificlab.com.
