1 · What it attests
- That the surgeon took and passed the official training in the technique.
- The year in which that certification was obtained.
- That they appear in the official directory with their express consent.
2 · What it does not attest
This section matters as much as the previous one and forms part of the badge.
- It is not a specialty certification and does not replace the professional licensure granted by the medical board or council of each country. Presenting it as equivalent is grounds for revocation.
- It does not endorse the results of any individual surgeon, nor does it constitute a guarantee of outcome for any patient.
- It does not imply supervision by Dr Manzaneda or by AX Scientific Lab over the certified surgeon's clinical practice, which remains their sole responsibility.
- It does not imply employment, partnership or agency between the surgeon and AX Scientific Lab.
3 · Who may use it
- Only the surgeon in whose name it was issued, on their own channels: their website, professional profile and social media.
- The badge must keep its link to the verification page. A badge without the link cannot be verified and is therefore not valid.
- It may not be assigned, transferred, or used by a clinic, a team or a third party to represent anyone other than the certified surgeon.
- It may not be altered: not the colour, not the wording, not the proportions, and it may not be cropped.
4 · Validity
Twelve months from the date of issue. The start and expiry dates are declared on the badge itself and are public on the verification page. Once the period lapses the badge is no longer current and must be renewed or removed from wherever it is displayed.
5 · Verification
Every badge carries a unique link to its verification page in the official directory. Anyone — a patient, a colleague, a journalist — can follow it and check the surgeon's name, the year of certification and whether the badge is still current.
A badge that does not link to a verification page on this site is not authentic, however closely it may resemble one.
6 · Grounds for revocation
- Using it in advertising that promises or guarantees results.
- Claiming to have created or co-created the technique.
- Presenting it as a specialty certification or as an endorsement by a medical board or council.
- Altering the badge artwork or removing its verification link.
- Loss of the surgeon's professional licensure in their jurisdiction.
- At the surgeon's own request, at any time and without needing to give a reason.
Revocation takes effect by removing the surgeon from the directory. From that moment the verification page stops confirming the certification, so any copy of the badge still on display is thereby shown not to be current.
7 · Personal data and removal
Surgeons appear in the directory only with their express consent, obtained in writing before publication. Published fields are name, title, country, city, clinic, year of certification and, if provided, their website or Instagram. Email addresses are not published: they are used solely to deliver the badge.
Any surgeon may request removal from the directory at any time by writing to AX Scientific Lab. Removal is processed without conditions.
Can I use the badge to credential myself with a hospital or an insurer?
No. The badge attests to training in a specific technique, not to professional licensure. For a hospital or an insurer what counts is your specialty certification, issued by the medical board or council of your country.
Can I use the badge in advertising for my surgeries?
You may state that you are certified in the technique. What you may not do is display the badge alongside promises or guarantees of outcome: that is grounds for revocation, and in several countries it also breaches medical advertising rules.
What happens if it expires and I do not renew?
The verification page stops confirming it as current, and you must remove it from wherever it is displayed. The certification you obtained is not erased; what lapses is the validity of the badge.
Who issues the badge?
AX Scientific Lab, the official academy of the technique, founded by its creator Dr Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani. Course information at axscientificlab.com.
