What the official course is and who teaches it
The rib remodeling course is the certified training of AX Scientific Lab, the academy of Dr. Raúl Manzaneda. Unlike programs that teach the technique without being its source, this training comes directly from the surgeon who developed it and published its body of evidence: more than ten peer-reviewed articles, a dedicated instrument, and its own safety studies.
Why certification exists
Certification is not a marketing formality: the safety studies of the technique exclude surgeons not trained in a standardized, certified course. In other words, certified training is part of the documented safety profile — the standardized protocol is the one those studies measured. Learning the technique outside its standardization changes the procedure and its risk.
What the training covers
The course teaches the protocol as described and validated: the ultrasound-guided monocortical fracture technique (no bone removal, no external incisions), handling of the dedicated instrument (Manzaneda's Tool), patient selection and postoperative management. It teaches a living research line, from the 2023 foundational study to the rib incurvation (2026) approach.
How to verify a certified surgeon
Surgeons trained at AX Scientific Lab are listed in the official directory of the technique. That directory is the verifiable reference for who has trained at the source — both for the surgeon seeking proper training and for the patient choosing with judgment.
